Plein Air Sessions

$30.00

Duration: 1 to 2.5 hours

Come and paint at the farm. Sunrise, sunset, or lazy afternoon. Views into the Blue Ridge, fields brimming with flowers, pollinators moving through the dye beds, and the kind of light that makes you want to put it on paper. Paint on the land with colors made from it. No formal instruction — just a beautiful place to paint, good company, and a short tour of the farm before you find your spot and settle in.

Feel free to bring a picnic and something to drink. Sessions run 2.5 hours and we keep a quiet, focused atmosphere. Come ready to paint.

Children are welcome at plein air sessions when accompanied by a participating adult.

What you bring: A chair, a sun umbrella or hat (sessions are in the open, not under cover), bug protection, your favorite brushes or sponges, snacks and drinks of your choice.

What I provide: A palette of farm-made botanical watercolor paints, two 8x10 sheets of high-quality watercolor paper, a small mixing tray, and a selection of brushes. Herbal tea and water on site. Additional sheets of paper available for purchase on site at $5 each.

All sessions count toward ESBA membership.

Groups welcome. Contact us for private bookings.

Cancelled for rain with full refund.
